Extreme Sewing Room Makeover - Pt 1 The Embarassment

Well, I've been talking about this for MONTHS...well, it feels that way. After a month of "being in the sewing funk" and then having a house guest and needed to get my sewing stuff out of the way...well, let's just say I'm scared to go in there... I've also been warning everyone how messy my room has become. Let's just say, I am extremely embarrassed about the state in which my sewing room has ended up and I am giving myself my own intervention. I am not allowed to sew until I get this cleaned up! All projects have been put on hold! AHHHHH!!!!!!

So without further ado, here is my embarrassment.

This picture was taken May 4, 2011.

3 months later it looks like this:

*I'm going to go die now*

I haven't sewn in there in over a month now. A few things (like the metal shelving in the center were pushed in there as well as a few extra things). There is NO excuse for me letting my area get this bad. I am in desperate need of organization! So I bought this book!

I have read through it and have gotten several items for organizing my space! I hope that you'll follow along with my on my organizing journey. If you have any tips or tricks, please leave me a comment with them!

Happy Sewing!

*Now I'm going to go hide and cry.*

I think the trick is to organise as you go. Clean as you move from on process to another. For example do all the cutting *clean* put things back take out the trash whatever, sew *clean* and sew on ;)

I'm so glad you decided to do this because I needed some motivation!
