Operation Stocking Stuffer

Friday during #gdas on twitter @RoadHomeQuiltn shared this with us. Her daughter's Girl Scout troop is collecting drawstring bags to be used as gift bags for deployed Marines and their families. It's called Operation Stocking Stuffer. They are in need of 1,200 bags by November. I believe she said that they already had 900. Please help them get the remaining 300 bags, even if it is just 1 it is appreciated.

It's a super simple pattern and all you need for a bag is 1 fat quarter and 28 inches of ribbon/cord. You can get 4 bags from 1 yard of fabric. Patriotic fabrics would be great, but you can use whatever fabric you have.

Please check out her blog for complete instructions and for where to send the bags.
